SYNOPSIS:
Jack Reade (ERIK SYNNESTVEDT) is a mild-mannered academic who finally has a chance to publish his own "great American novel".... Jack is thrilled, UNTIL Pete (WHALEN J. LAURENCE), a smug and influential editor, informs Jack that the book is actually doomed to publishing purgatory and then accidentally dies. Oops. Carrie Singer (JENNIFER MASSEY), a publishing "secretary" ready for her big break as well, quickly takes Jack under her wing. Together the two concoct a scheme to take advantage of Pete's untimely death and greenlight Jack's book after all. Alas, Carrie and Jack discover that the publishing process is chock full of required signatures, and the crafty duo might just need a few more “accidents” to cover their tracks and make it the presses.

Jennifer recently shot footage for some new interactive web banners to support an ongoing internet campaign for Hanes Activewear. The original advertising stars Sarah Chalke (of the TV show "Scrubs").

The overall campaign features Chalke, Massey and other women trying to surreptitiously undo panty "wedgies" brought on by inferior underwear brands without using their hands. The results, endearingly termed wedgie dances, are hysterical.

The new Hanes "Wedgie Web Banners" are scheduled to appear online by March 2008 and will allow viewers to drag and manipulate the gyrating images or add their own faces to the online bodies to create a personalized wedgie dance of their own. Viewers are also invited to contribute their own "Wedgie Stories" to the Hanes site.

The new Hanes Activewear internet banners are produced by Park Group Productions based in Richmond, VA.

Jennifer Massey appears as Mrs. Van Buren in Barksdale Theatre's production of "Intimate Apparel".

The story, written by Lynn Nottage, takes place in 1905 and revolves around a 35-year-old unmarried black seamstress, named Esther, who struggles to make it on her own in New York City by creating beautiful lingerie for the ladies of Lower Manhattan. Massey plays one of Esther's high society customers... seeking companionship as well as couture.

"In her role as Mrs. Van Buren, Jennifer Massey adeptly channels the inner pain and uncertainty of a woman married to a man who treats her with disdain. She fills the stage with her presence and is as convincing as she is surprising."
